Ratings and Tasting Notes:
(AM=89) An attractively spicy and floral-suffused nose offers up red and dark berries and a top note of Asian-style tea. There is good detail and punch to the delicious middle weight flavors that possess a finer mouth feel before concluding in a dusty and ever-so-mildly austere finish that is firm and persistent. This too is a fine villages and worth your interest. (AG=88) (this was bottled, along with the Clos Vougeot, in March of 2016): Sexy aromas of black raspberry, coffee and flowers. Suave and rather refined in the middle palate, showing more soil-driven saline minerality than fruit sweetness today but in an elegant style. The persistent, firm finish features smooth tannins and a spicy element.
