Ratings and Tasting Notes:
RP93 A stunning entry-level effort, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape from Mas de Boislauzon is full-bodied, richly textured and plush. This 70-30 blend of Grenache and Mourv_dre was raised exclusively in concrete, allowing the black cherry and plum fruit to shine, accented by allspice and clove notes on the long finish. AG89-91 Vivid ruby. Pungent red berry, cherry pit and lavender scents are sharpened by smoky mineral and peppery spice notes. Sappy and pliant in the mouth, offering ripe, spice-tinged raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors that blend richness and vivacity. Finishes taut, smoky and precise, displaying gentle tannic grip and resonating spiciness.
